Who's this for?
Why Learn From Me?
Here's what others have said about their experiences with my courses:
"The course delivers on its promises, and then some. I really wasn't expecting the depth I received here. Even with it's depth, the practical exercises are very easy to use and the instruction is very clear and easy to follow. I was not only educated but also entertained as I went through the videos."
"This is a well-constructed course. The flow of lessons seems natural and fitting. Examples are great. One can really take a lot away from this course."
"Awesome course! Course instructor provided content with practical exercises on how to achieve the best meditation results, which was really helpful! I consider myself as a creative person and meditation is a great way to free my mind and find out more ideas faster. Thank you!"
"Excellent Course on Meditation, well structured, practical exercises and interesting instructor. There are a lot of little things in here that I didn't know and I've been practicing for almost 20 years. Great course."
"This is truly a great course for beginners to learn to meditate. I came to the table knowing nothing about meditation and this course really covers everything you need to know to get a solid practice established. It covers the what and why and most importantly the how. The instructor is very knowledgeable and entertaining to listen to."
"This course breaks down meditation in a very simple and easy to understand manner. Clear and concise explanations. Detailed information in the later sections. As well, instructor Ken Wells is extremely proactive in answering questions from students. I've taken, viewed and reviewed over 200 courses on Udemy and this one has to be among my Top 10 - if not in the Top 5! Highly recommended!"
When I send out surveys to existing students asking about challenges or questions, I always find the broad range of responses that come in so fascinating.
Specifically, I look at the words that students use to describe the problems they are still experiencing.
Here are some examples from the past 6 months:
"My mind jumps around like a crazy monkey, never stopping for a second"
"How can I overcome negative thoughts in my everyday life?"
"Overthinking is probably my biggest challenge"
"What do I do when nothing seems to work while meditating?"
"I'm always comparing myself to others and being extremely harsh on myself"
"I get into negative thinking spirals and it feels like it's out of my control"
"There are beliefs I can't seem to get over and I know they are holding me back"
I've received numerous messages containing these same and related ideas.
As I read all these messages, the questions that kept coming up in the back of my mind were:
"Specifically, how does our mind imprison us?"
"What are some ways our mind causes us unnecessary suffering and harm?"
And, I started writing...here's the original list, copied right from my notes:
After writing this initial list, I decided to create a course addressing the idea of not being a slave to our own mind...
...essentially answering the question "What is within my power to break free from these self-imposed chains?"
One thing I've recognized with certainty, over the past 12+ years of practicing and teaching meditation, is the profound impact that comes from establishing a truly peaceful mind and doing real "inner work".
It changes everything.
Just like Lao Tzu said thousands of years ago, "If you correct your mind, the rest of your life will fall into place."
The problem is that just teaching meditation practice doesn't always serve everyone.
Some people still walk away with the same questions. Some having tried and believing they failed, never try again.
This simply won't do.
There are answers and there is relief from this pain that we all, at one point or another, feel.
The thing is, the solution doesn't fit within the usual paradigm of most "personal development" programs.
In fact, the answer is kind of like walking up to someone who believes the earth is flat and telling them it's actually round....likely to be met with resistance.
The truth is you can't have it both ways—you can't hold on to your current way of looking at things and see the solution to the problem.
Einstein said it well: "A problem can't be solved at the same level it was created."
And so it is with many self-improvement books and courses. They teach you clever ways to try and get around these problems while reinforcing the very problems they set out to solve!
Please understand there is a time and place for everything. Those same personal development programs have helped me tremendously along the way...
...but they were stepping-stones...
The good news is, once you address some of the root issues, a lot of the smaller ones fall away like dominos.
At the end of the day, let's face it...we don't want to overcome worry, we want peace of mind. We want clarity and meaning in our lives.
I don't know if you can imagine what it would feel like to experience such profound peace of mind that all of the world's troubles seem like feathers gently brushing against your face...
...literally, to the point where, you feel like Neo at the end of "The Matrix" when he finally realizes that he is "The One".
This course represents the first major step in the direction that I've wanted take my work for as long as I can remember and I feel so excited to be sharing this with you.
Ken Wells is an internationally sought after speaker, teacher and coach. He is the author of 20+ courses and coaching programs on topics such as meditation, personal transformation, mindfulness and spirituality. 41,000+ students in 168 countries are currently enrolled in his programs.
I walked through hell and came out the other side happy, peaceful and loving life more every day.
Even challenges have taken on a new light.
Best of all, this all occurred using all-natural methods.
I rejected the common solutions to the depression, anxiety, hopelessness and self-hatred I was experiencing.
I rejected the drugs that our culture wanted to pacify me with and I rejected the bullshit techniques that many self-improvement gurus tried to peddle.
When I started this "journey" 15 years ago, I had no idea what I was in for.
You see, when you say yes to Spirit, your life becomes extraordinary.
...But it doesn't always feel good.
I was first exposed to spirituality when I was 17.
I began meditating diligently and through the guidance of my first mentor, I ultimately started to experience a complete shift in my perception, along with several revelatory and heightened consciousness experiences.
I wish I could say that my path was a straight line, but it wasn't.
As I grew a bit older, I began to drift away from my spiritual practice and became fascinated with the pleasures of the world and becoming an adult.
It was now time to be "somebody" and to become "successful".
Armed with mountains of self-help books and positive programming, I strove diligently to become successful as judged by the world.
And I succeeded to a degree far above the norm.
Yet, as my outward life was appearing more and more successful, my inner world was crumbling.
At a certain point, I began to self-sabotage and tear down everything "I" had worked so hard to build.
I repeated this same pattern a second time and I just couldn't figure out why I kept self-sabotaging.
After that, I had had enough. Something had to change.
There had to be a better way. And I was determined to find it!
This all resulted in ultimately realizing that I had been essentially wandering in darkness and building a better ego over those years.
It wasn't a white light experience but more of a gradual dissolving of the false ideas I had about myself and the world.
As these old ideas fell away, what took it's place was an understanding that can only be experienced directly.
All attempts to describe it with words only serve to further confuse the issue.
It is my sincere desire to help lead you to that same freedom, joy and happiness.
It's crazy how much has changed and the journey just keeps getting better, more interesting and surreal!
"Thanks Ken, your course shows the time you have spent working your craft over the years. There is nothing like someone that lives there passion. Great Job!"
"Ken is very passionate about meditation and makes everything very interesting."
"Excellent course. Great Teacher. I will be coming back to this course for personal growth and review for sure."
"There is no where else you need to be but here. If I could give 6 stars I would! Follow through on this course with Ken and enjoy :)"
"There are times when I think my mind is out of control. One of Ken's lectures helped a lot as he shared that there is more than one way to meditate. Following his guidance, I discovered one of his methods was very effective. Then I have used it to start my practice on the other ways and it seems to be working. Thanks for your clear explanations and wonderful leadership. Well produced course."
"Ken demystifies this ancient art. The best compliment i can give is that I've tried meditation in the past and couldn't do it. I gave up. Then I took Ken's course and now I'm meditating every day. Give this course a try, i know it will help you."
"I started meditating a few months ago and muddled along, not really sure if I was doing it "right". Ken presents the topic very straightforward and does a great job walking you through meditation in general. Very happy with my purchase!"
"The lectures are easy to understand and full of useful knowledge. I am pleased I took this course, well worth it."
"This class is great. The tone and pace is perfect. Instructor gives enough background and history without getting stuck in the weeds. Also really impressed with how engaged the instructor is with us as students. Engages in active dialog and would strongly recommend this to friends and network. But most importantly I am actually enjoying learning about meditation and doing it!"
"Excellent course. Starts from basics and ends with details included practical guidance for students."
